Herbal Chronicles

I was given this little book as a gift as I love herbs and watercolour painting and this hit both of those.

This is self-published by Sarah Atkinson and only available in a couple of place across in Cumbria that I know of but it is so worth searching out if you can.

This is a collection of stories about the herbs that Sarah uses in her practice with a beautiful watercolour representation of each of the herbs described.

Each herb is in it’s own little section for various health related areas; digestion, blood pressure, pain relief, etc and Sarah does explain that there are overlaps in each herb but that these are the areas that she would use primarily them in.

Not an exhaustive book on herbalism but a beautiful little book full of stunning illustrations and interesting anecdotes, I really enjoyed it!
